A phone call made and sweet success at finding another honey sponsor to support the Lodi Mother’s Day Run. Sweet Wisconsin Honey Farm, a regular at our local farmers market, didn’t hesitate to provide tasty awards for our age group winners at this years event.
About Sweet Wisconsin Honey Farm
Owen (age 8), Logan (age 10), Kerrie (wife / sales and marketing) and Shawn (beekeeper/operations) have an exciting hobby of beekeeping. They started keeping hives in 1999 with just four hives that kept the family’s sweet tooth in check. This year they will be producing honey from over 100 hives.
They have seven apiaries around the Poynette area that produces the best tasting honey around (so they have been told). The Bahr’s package the honey ranging from honey sticks all the way to 55 gallon drums and sell it out of their home, at farmers markets and through phone orders. Kerrie with sales and marketing duties can be found at the farmer’s markets in Waunakee, Portage, Lodi and Poynette.
