Optimist Club of Lodi – As the title sponsor the Optimist Club of Lodi is providing support by providing funding, accounting and event insurance.
The event will be multi-distance, all ages, running event in Lodi, Wisconsin to be held Mother’s Day Weekend, May 11, 2013.
The event is being publicized as a regional event, drawing participants from the Midwest region. Our intent is to stage the event close to the downtown Lodi business district while still providing a safe rural running experience for participants. The start and finish will be at the Lodi High School Complex and run on rural roads west of town encompassing the Town of Lodi, Town of West Point and key parts of Wisconsin Rustic Road 110. All proceeds will be directed back to the local community via the Optimist Club of Lodi.
Based on past attendance, we expect a total of 800+ people including participants, volunteers and spectators
All sponsoring entities are welcome to be present at both the pre race expo and on the event grounds on race day, some limitations may apply. Sponsors shall provide all needed tables, demonstration and/or promotional equipment, banners, etc. Prior approval by Activate Lodi committee is required for all sponsors, displays, etc. Activate Lodi will provide space as available, space is limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Sponsor Promotional Information
Each sponsor shall provide Activate Lodi with a short promotional narrative not to exceed 500 words for inclusion in promotional materials by Activate Lodi. All materials must be in electronic format. All written material must be provided as MSWord.doc file, logos and photos must be in .jpg file format.
Activate Lodi is not responsible for incorrect or confusing information. Sponsor information will be included in promotional material as submitted by the sponsor except for minor changes needed to fit the various media in which the material is included. It is the sponsor’ responsibility to provide all the material in final copy ready for inclusion in electronic and printed materials. Sponsor may also provide their FaceBook Business Page name for linking with the LMDR FaceBook page and website.
Sponsorship “In Kind”
Sponsorship “in kind” will be accepted for sponsors seeking to provide a free service or item for race participants in return for promotional visibility. Such sponsorship would include items such as free items for inclusion in race packets, post race massage service, nourishment on the route, post race refreshments, etc. “In Kind” sponsors will receive the same benefit as monetary sponsor based on “actual cost” value of sponsorship. Sponsorship level will be reviewed and approved by Activate Lodi Committee.
Sponsorship of Activity
The event also seeks sponsors providing an activity at the “High Point Climb” and “Vertical Limit Climb” (final climb). These sponsors could be a business or community group and could consist of entertainment such as cheer leaders, clowns, live music, etc. to help the runners over these substantial hurdles. The “High Point Climb” is on the half marathon route at mile 10. “Vertical limit” is on half marathon, 10K and 5K routes less than one half mile from and in sight of the finish and offers a high visibility opportunity.
Monetary sponsorship will be limited to 15, allowing for adequate visibility for each sponsor during prerace promotion. Sponsor levels are as follows:
Contributing Sponsor – $100 or more will be allowed to post their promotional banner on the grounds during the event.
Supporting Sponsor – $200 or more will be allowed to post their promotional banner on the grounds during the event. Name of Supporting Sponsor will also be printed on the event T-shirt
Prime Sponsor – $300 or more will be allowed to post their promotional banner(s) at the Start/finish line for prime visibility. Sponsor will receive larger print name on T-shirt and ability to post promotional banners or provide some form of activity at a mile marker.
Activate Lodi ‘s goal is for this to be a well run event with an upscale profile due to the organization, sponsorship focus and community involvement. The event will promote health, wellness and fitness and provide support to community organizations and a boost local business. Sponsoring this event will help to achieve this goal.
