Just as you need a village to raise a child, an athletic event of the scope of the the Lodi Mother’s Day Half Marathon & 5K needs volunteers and sponsors to get all the work done. This is especially so with an inaugural event. If it weren’t for friends and friends of friends we just couldn’t get this done.
Start with a logo
Once you have the name and the concept of the event, you need a logo. Brett Sackett of Geebo Design provided the graphic design concepts and layout for both the design of the logo and the race brochure. One never knows exactly what they get themselves into when they offer some free in kind work. As someone who has worked for different consulting firms, I understand that sometimes the work can go beyond a simple logo.
In this case, the logo went through two revisions and a slight color change to help make sure the website and logo worked together!
We lovc our logo and can’t wait until its on more than our website. Those shirts, brochures and posters will really standout with the work by Brett. Thanks for your help and the donation of your time to get us off on the right “foot.”
