5K Course for 2012 Lodi Mothers Day Run
The course is out and back. Don’t forget to take a breath as you top the last hill and see our lovely town in the Scenic Lodi Valley on your way to the finish.

The race director is on the ball for the 2012 Lodi Mother’s Day Run. Online registration is open, posters are getting put up and the brochures are on the way!
The Lodi Mother’s Day Run (LMDR) committee is lookng forward to another great event with a new day. This years race will be on Saturday, May 12, 2012.
New for 2012: We have added a 10k run and later start times for the 5 & the new 10k. Also, the kids events ( one mile and 1/2 mile race) will be FREE and include youth T’s and finisher medals.
We held a logo contest this year, open to the public to get a new logo. We feel the selected logo, designed by Jim Salzman of Dane, WI, accurately reflects the nature of the run. Rural in nature, hilly, farmland, and fun.

In case anyone is looking for a good cause for literacy, consider participating in the Lodi Library Run & Walk on August 13, 2011 in Lodi Wisconsin. The race starts at 8 am with the start and finish line at the Lodi Elementary School on HWY 60 and Clark St in Lodi. There will be plenty of parking at the finish line.
The race benefits the Lodi Public Library, which due to the success of the past events, buys lots of reading materials. In 2010 they spend more than $30,000 on databases, books, movies, audiobooks, music and more. Lodi area patrons enjoy these resources thanks to the funds raised through this event. Continue reading

Things are looking up as we head to the run this Sunday, Dry conditions and a low temperature of 50, highs in the 60 are the forecast. We may really benefit for all the other early season runs having such terrible weather and hope those runners decide to come run with us. We’ll take it!
Due to logistics for the Lodi Optimist’s Mother’s Day Run, the online registration site will close at 5PM CST Friday May 6, 2011. You can still register the day of the race, but no guarantees on shirt at this point.
Update 05/07/2011: Registration is available day of the run so head to Lodi High School at 1100 Sauk Street for registration on Sunday beginning at 6:00 AM for 8 AM race start. You can also register at the Mini Expo on Saturday 5-7PM at the Northern Edge Restaurant in Lodi (HWY 113 north)
